The R&D center of an international steal manufacturer asked Tegesoft experts to fully redesign the numerical simulation of blast-furnace.
- Background
-
With the pressing requirements to have numerical simulation tools that are more performant, very precise and extensible, the R&D center organizes a complete redesign of its numerical modeling tools to setup and build a next generation framework as well as a first complex model based on it.
- Description
-
Numeric simulation of blast-furnace is at the heart of the steal manufacturer R&D and represents a major stake to reach output capacity goals, as well as reduce the environment footprint.
Modeling such a system is a complex mater considering how large the number of physical elements and states is, and how deeply these elements are implicitly bound and influenced by each other.
Tegesoft experts bring their know-how in scientific and numerical computing to the research team, and manage the audit and design phase, the architecture and implementation of the new tool.
"What the chief researcher likes is that our organisation is strongly based on multidisciplinary teams and our long experienced engineers. In contrary to most of the software engineering companies that deal with such large customer, we have stable and loyal teams, a resource turn-over that is practically null and people which feel supported at any time by a strong "back office". We have a real teamwork spirit. We can capitalise on years of stable experience and strong in-house know-how at the direct benefit of our customers.
