Developement of the software for a R&D turbo specimens calibration testbed.

Background

The customer needed to calibrate turbos on a very large range up to 1200 kg/h. TECHNOGERMA Systems France developed a new flowbench concept requiring a precise and powerful software.

Description

The Flowbench software controls and regulates pressure and massflow with high precision in order to calibrate turbo specimens. It is used in the research and development for new turbos.

It handles a database system to store calibration settings and provides user interfaces to create or edit them. User can setup a new calibration process or select an existing one before starting. When running, a software PID controller performs the pressure regulation while the air flow going throw the turbo specimen is measured at a high precision. The user can follow the progress and act on the process by modifying dynamic parameters. A report file is built along side the test progress and archived at the end of the calibration procedure.
